Rooted in remembrance, guided by spirit.
Shelly Szigli is the creator and founder of Weaving Wholeness - The Soul Dolls Approach™, a sacred path of creative group facilitation, ancestral connection, and artistic healing.
Raised with the quiet influence of a grandfather who modeled dignity, compassion, and an unwavering sense of justice, Shelly grew up with a deep awareness of both privilege and responsibility. Her early experiences- standing on the steps of a former residential school, walking into Indigenous homes as a family preservation worker, being witnessed by an elder who told her to “learn who you are”- shaped the way she walks in this world.
Through years of 1:1 client work, group facilitation, mothering, doll making, and spiritual listening, Shelly has created a body of work that honors diversity, centers deep humanity, and welcomes all who are seeking soulful transformation. Her work is not about hierarchy or having answers- it is about creating sacred space where insight can rise from within.
From kitchen tables to university classrooms, from circle tents to open prairies, Shelly’s work continues to invite women home to themselves-through art, story, and reverence for the unseen.
“I acknowledge that I create and share my work on the ancestral lands of the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, Tsuut’ina, and Stoney Nakoda Nations, within Treaty 7 territory in Lethbridge, Alberta. In my artistry and offerings, I honor the wisdom and enduring presence of this sacred land, inviting its guidance and truth into each Soul Doll and offering I create.
As part of this commitment, a portion of every sale through The Soul Dolls Approach™ is donated to the Sage Clan Patrol in Lethbridge- a grassroots, Indigenous-led initiative that provides community-based support, outreach, and care.”
- Shelly Szigli
Shelly has facilitated transformational 1:1 work since 2012, and group work from 2017 trusted by women from all walks of life- including educators, artists, therapists, students, and elders. Her approach has been described as:
“Safe, sacred, and profoundly creative.”
“Like being held by something ancient and honest.”
“The kind of work that changes you quietly-and forever.”
She continues to offer mentorship through the Soul Dolls Approach™ Facilitator Training, seasonal workshops, and land-based gatherings that invite the sacred into form through doll making, circle, and story.
