Each one of us carries a story - a history, a tapestry of experiences that we cannot escape, no matter how hard we try.
But what if the point was never to leave it behind?
What if the journey is about weaving it together - retracing our steps, integrating the lessons, and allowing our stories to become the key that unlocks the deeper mysteries of our soul?
For years, my goal was to forget my past - to climb new mountains, create a new story, and deny the parts that felt messy, complicated, or unclear.
I believed that somehow my journey was flawed, that what I brought to the table was false, and that perhaps one day, after enough striving, I would finally become “real” and “whole.”
The truth is, authenticity was never something to attain.
It was always something to see - something to choose to believe. Despite the dysfunctional patterns or the false personas that would sometimes arise, I was whole the entire time.
My soul spark - no matter how hard I tried to extinguish it, no matter how much I punished myself - remained unbreakable.
This is the heart of why I call them Soul Dolls.
In the making or receiving of a doll, we are reminded of our own beauty, vastness, and potential.
We are invited to step out of the daily trance that so often blinds us to the simple truth:
We are already connected to the spirit that surrounds and animates us.
Through the doll, we remember that we have the power to choose - how we see ourselves, our past, and the potential of our future.
The doll becomes a bridge - a bridge that lovingly weaves together what was and what will be, allowing our complex stories to come into view in a way that is both empowering and inspiring.

You are the keeper of a story - and you are not alone. Within every heart lies a tapestry of experiences that were never meant to be forgotten, but to be honored, integrated, and shared. Weaving Wholeness - using the Soul Dolls Approach invites you to step into your role as a guide - helping others reconnect to the wisdom of their own story through the sacred art of doll making.
For years, I believed my journey was flawed - that I needed to leave behind the messy, complicated parts of my life in order to become whole. I climbed mountains, chasing new identities, convinced that authenticity was something I had to earn. What I came to realize - and what changed everything - was that wholeness had been with me all along. It was not something to find; it was something to see, to believe, to remember. And the Soul Doll became the bridge - a way to hold the vastness of a human life with tenderness and awe, a way to reconnect to the soul spark that can never be extinguished.

Several years ago, I was a coach and energetics teacher, but I was feeling uninspired and overwhelmed. My day-to-day work lacked the spark it once had, and I knew something had to shift.
Then I found the doll. What started as a creative exploration quickly transformed into a practice that reawakened my heart and spirit.
The act of crafting these dolls, with love and intention, became the cornerstone of my work. It brought joy, connection, and excitement back into my life and led me to reimagine how I hold space for others.
That’s why I created the Soul Dolls Approach Facilitators Training Program- to share this deeply transformative process with other artists, coaches, and guides who are ready to ignite their passion again and hold sacred, creative spaces for others.

The Soul Dolls Approach brings this sacred remembering into a shared, living experience. Through the intentional creation of dolls in a group setting, participants are given a tangible, creative way to explore their stories, honor their paths, and reconnect to their inner wholeness.
As a Facilitator, you will learn how to guide groups through the process- weaving together creativity, reflection, and soulful connection- in a way that empowers each participant to step more fully into their own light. Shelly’s Soul Doll artistry is inspired by the beauty of both the land and people of the Celtic lands, and Southern AB, Treaty 7 prairies. Her custom dolls, soul doll artist kits, and retreats are co-created with soul sisters who call these sacred places home. The majority of imagery captured on this site taken by Shelly in Sept of 2024 on her yearly quest to Ireland.
